Breast screening clinic available for women in Sandy Lake
The Sandy Lake Health Authority is encouraging all women over the age of 50 to attend a breast screening clinic.
The Ontario Breast Screening Program Mobile Coach will be in Sioux Lookout from July 13-29, 2010. The Health Authority will be coordinating travel for any woman over the age of 50 in Sandy Lake to attend this clinic.

Community Choir getting ready for Easter concert
The Community Choir is starting practices this evening for its Easter concert special.
Over the past 10 years, the Community Choir has traditionally performed Christmas concerts only. But this year, organizers and choir members will select and rehearse songs for an Easter concert.
All interested singers, musicians of all ages are encouraged and welcome to go to the United Church for choir practice beginning tonight at 7:00 p.m.

600 kids to receive food hampers this Christmas
More than 100 volunteers gathered to put together food hampers this evening.
The annual event is coordinated and sponsored by the welfare administration program and partnering programs to provide 600 children with food hamper bags for the holiday season.
The bags include a selection of non-perishable foods, winter gloves, the Health Authority Christmas newsletter, and the new Sandy Lake 2010 calendar featuring photos of the community and its people.
