General Band Election - Advance Poll & Election Day
Sandy Lake band members will be voting in the general band election on March 26.

Winter Road Closed
Council members were on the radio this morning to remind community members that the winter road is closed and asked travelers not to attempt driving the winter road.
According to Sandy Lake Community Development Services Inc., the winter road has been closed since March 4 when they seized winter road maintenance.

Sandy Lake at the Northern First Nation Hockey Tournament
Three teams from Sandy Lake are participating in this years Northern First Nation Hockey Tournament in Sioux Lookout.
The Sandy Lake Riverhawks, Skyhawks, and 2008 NFNHT Champions the Chiefs are competing with 33 other teams for the coveted championship title.
Wawatay radio is broadcasting games all week and Sandy Lake's very own 93.5FM will be broadcasting Sandy Lake's games on Wawatay.
Wawatay TV is also providing live video streaming of games starting on Thursday, March 18.

NAPS Board holds meeting and hockey game in Sandy Lake
The NAPS Board of Directors held a board meeting in Sandy Lake on March 3 and 4, 2010.
NAPS Chief of Police Robin Jones and board members met for regular business and also with Chief and Council during their two-day stay. Board members also visited different areas of the community including the elementary school.
