POSTPONED DUE TO RECENT DEATHS IN THE COMMUNITY.

This annual event has all employees of Sandy Lake First Nation and community members cleaning up garbage that has accumulated over the past year.

Sandy Lake takes pride in the well-being and appearance of our land and we encourage everyone to come out and do your part for Mother Earth on Thursday, May 14th.

The nomination meetings for the upcoming Board Elections will take place on Thursday, May 28, 2009 from 6 - 8 p.m.  Nominations will take place in each of the five areas:

River - High School gym
Centre - Elementary School gym
Airport/Big Rock - Band Office Council Room
Old Sawmill/Ghost Point - Corporation Board Room
R.C. - R.C. Church

The policy manual for the Board Elections states that nominees must be present during nomination meeting.  Nominees must have a nominator and seconder.

For those band members who will not be in the community for Board Elections on Thursday, June 4th, advance polls will be open on Tuesday, June 2nd from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the Corporation board room.

Voting for the 2009-2011 Board Elections will take place on Thursday, June 4th from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Band Office.

10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Wednesday, June 10th
9:00 a.m. to 12 noon
